Build a 3D molecular model of pH indicatorchlorophenol red with Molymod atoms & bonds.
Chlorophenol red is a brown crystalline powder commonly used as an acid-base indicator. It indicates acidity in the range of 4.8 to 6.7 by changing from a yellow color (at pH 4.8) to a violet color (at pH 6.7).
With the increased use of chlorine dioxide in water treatment, chlorophenol red is an ideal indicator for colorimetric based measuring techniques since reaction with chlorine dioxide changes it from yellow to colorless. Because one mole of chlorophenol red reacts with 2 moles of chlorine dioxide, companies can easily estimate the concentration of ClO2 present in water.
A molecular model of Chlorophenol Red in the Molymod Hybrid Dome style uses the atoms & bonds in the parts list below. Our free 3D Molecular Model Builder shows other styles & allows for image rotation as an assembly guide.
