The #00 insect collection pins have a diameter of 0.30mm. This narrow gauge & ideal for pinning relatively fragile small insects such as mosquitoes without damaging or distorting them. Regular pinning forceps will allow you to mount a mosquito or similar sized insect without any issues. However, this pin is very flexible & locking forceps (hemostat) may work better when trying to push into a harder material.

Hard to say-never recd item despite an email stating it was shipped 12/8/2020, 18 days ago!!!

— Indigo: According to USPS tracking # 9400111899564285745042, it was delivered Dec. 20. 12 days not 18 days after you ordered. This is much slower than normal for USPS but a few things to note. 1) This was the year's peak shipping period before Xmas. 2) Their tracking page indicated delays also due to COVID-19.
