Cork is the material found in the bark of the tree known as Quercus suber. It has many interesting properties including impermeability, buoyancy, elasticity, and fire resistance. It is best known for its use as wine stoppers, bulletin boards and flooring. Cork is also used to line the "fingers" of our flask clamps.
