The 10x10mm neodymium cylinder magnet fits a 1/2" copper or aluminum tube for studying the effects of eddy currents. Compare the drop times of this magnet with the 10x10mm, 10x25mm, 12.5x12.5mm or 12x25mm rod magnets.
We have sold NdFeB magnets since 1996 and N42 grade since 2003, the best value for strength & temperature vs cost. Don't be fooled by claims of higher strength, N52, at lower cost.

We also provide complete Documentation including MSDS & ROHS; see below.
The Mark II Magnaprobe is an excellent tool for detecting magnetic fields & is must for any college or high school electricity & magnetism lab. See it in action below in our eddy current-drop tower braking simulation or read our blog Eddy Current Copper Tube Drop Tower Brake Test.
Even more impressive is the ultrasensitive Mark I Magnaprobe which responds to magnetic fields as weak as 0.3 gauss. A must if your cyclotron or particle collider is slightly off. In this instance, it was able to detect the eddy current in the simulation below at a distance of over 1m (3.3 feet)!
