Steps for Embedding Magnets in a Terrain Base

  • Drill 3mm diameter by 1mm deep holes in the game board or tiles.
  • Fix magnets in place with epoxy or super glue while keeping flush or slightly recessed.
  • Similarly, embed magnets in the bottom of walls, crates, statues, traps, or miniatures' bases.
  • Make sure polarities match so they will attract (mark or test beforehand or use a Magnaprobe).

This is the third time I've ordered these magnets from Indigo Instruments. They are perfect for building miniatures, and they arrived very quickly in the mail (which is in itself remarkable considering the mail volumes right now!). I used these magnets for building models, their size and strength are great for small panel sections that need led lighting and access without gluing sections together.
