Estradiol is an important female estrogenic steroid hormone. Its chemical formula is C18H24O2. Estradiol has a chemical structure with 2 cyclohexene rings fused to cyclohexane which is in turn connected to a cyclopentane ring. The first cyclohexane ring & the cyclopentane ring are characterized in having an alcohol functional group.
