D-Methamphetamine (aka meth or crystal meth) is a relatively simple chemical but is biologically very active and can be highly addictive. Although methamphetamine can be used as a medicine it better known as an illegal stimulant and was popularized on the TV show "Breaking Bad".
Its optical isomer, L-methamphetamine, is much less active and is used in Vick's Vapor inhalers euphemistically labelled:"levmetamfetamine". This is a good example of how chirality (also seen in LSD) affects biological activity. Use it in conjunction with models of other stimulants such as cocaine as part of your drug awareness program.
