This 3C-SiC unit cell shows cubic polytype structure also called β-SiC. This cubic crystal structure is similar to zinc blende (diamond-like). In 3C-SiC, the stacking of atomic planes follows an ABCABC sequence. Its properties are useful in semiconductor applications with high electron mobility.
