This is the time of year when norovirus strikes the unsuspecting. The norovirus incubation period is 12–48 hours. Norovirus symptoms include abdominal cramps & vomiting with recovery in 1–3 days. Why suffer & run the risk of missing classes or a vacation when a bit of prevention can stop norovirus in its tracks.
Stop norovirus cold with a 5000ppm sodium hypochlorite solution confirmed with Indigo 10000ppm chlorine test strips. Ensure enough sodium hypochlorite is available for disinfection of any surface, from kitchen counters to cutlery.
Also effective for coronavirus & drug resistant strains of bacteria such as MRSA in hospitals to hair salons.
1000ppm is a bare minimum to ensure adequate disinfection of most bugs but the NIH recommends 5000ppm for norovirus. Take out the dilution guesswork using our chlorine dilution calculator.
Don't get scared off because it's in metric. The NIH, FDA &EPA all work it out that way before converting to American units. You can too.
A quart is close to a litre, a gallon is 4 litres, a cup is 250ml, a tablespoon is 15mL & a teaspoon is 5ml. NIH guidelines allow for this margin of error.
